Endpoint
https://api.sidemail.io/mcp
Authentication
Hosted remote server uses an Authorization: Bearer Sidemail API key. Local package uses SIDEMAIL_API_KEY. API key must be stored in client secret storage or environment configuration.

Requirements

  • Sidemail account and API key
  • Node.js 20+ for local npm package

Setup steps

  1. Create an API key in Sidemail account settings.
  2. Remote-capable clients can connect to https://api.sidemail.io/mcp using Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>.
  3. For local stdio, configure command `npx`, args `-y`, `@sidemail/mcp`, and env SIDEMAIL_API_KEY.
  4. Restart client and start with read-only listing or query actions. Do not test by sending a real email.

Limitations and notes
  • Tools can send emails, delete contacts/domains/templates, change project settings, and create inbound routes. Review and confirm external effects before execution.
  • Deep SMTP validation can consume validation credits.
  • No pricing/plan limitation assumed; service access depends on the Sidemail account.
