About Webflow MCP

Webflow's hosted MCP server connects AI clients to Webflow sites and workspaces for managing site data, CMS, assets, design systems, analytics, and selected Designer actions.

What you can use it for

  • Inspect and manage CMS collections and items
  • Create or edit pages, components, styles, variables, assets, and custom fonts
  • Review site analytics when the Analyze add-on is available
  • Use Designer selection and canvas context when the Bridge App is connected
Connection and setup
Hosting
Remote, cloud-hosted
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp
Authentication
OAuth authorization through the AI client; access is limited to the selected Webflow workspace and sites the user can access.

Requirements

  • Webflow account with at least one accessible site
  • MCP-capable client
  • Site role other than Reviewer to authorize site access
  • Webflow Designer and Bridge App only for live canvas/selection/snapshot actions

Setup steps

  1. Add the remote MCP endpoint https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp using a supported client or its Webflow connector/plugin.
  2. Complete Webflow OAuth in the browser and select only the workspace/sites the client should access.
  3. For canvas-specific actions, open the target site in Designer, open the Apps panel, launch the Webflow MCP Bridge App, and wait for its connection.
  4. Reload the client if needed and verify with a read-only request such as listing accessible sites or reading a page.

This server’s available tools can vary by account, permissions, or configuration. The list shown is not its full runtime catalog.

Limitations and notes
  • Some live Designer actions require the Designer open with the Bridge App connected.
  • The MCP server cannot perform all Webflow developer tasks; Classic interactions, creating new localized CMS items, workspace access changes, and secret environment-variable values are unsupported.
  • Analyze reports require the Webflow Analyze add-on; Campaign tools require Early Access.
  • OAuth authorization grants one workspace at a time and respects the user's existing Webflow role.
  • All Site plans, including Starter, can use the MCP server; usage is charged through the AI client plan/credits rather than Webflow AI credits.
Source discrepancies
  • The official repository README also describes a local npx server with WEBFLOW_TOKEN. Current Webflow Developer Documentation and help pages describe the primary product as remote at https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp using OAuth. This record describes the current hosted product and does not merge the legacy/local setup.
