Authentication
Google Cloud authentication; the project must enable the relevant MCP/service APIs and grant required IAM roles. Exact client auth mechanism depends on Google Cloud MCP setup and is not fully specified on this server reference page.

Requirements

  • Private Preview access granted by a Google Cloud account team
  • Google Cloud project and authentication configured for Google Cloud MCP servers
  • Enable geminicloudassist.googleapis.com, designcenter.googleapis.com, apphub.googleapis.com, cloudasset.googleapis.com, and appoptimize.googleapis.com
  • Grant roles/geminicloudassist.viewer for read-only tasks, roles/geminicloudassist.user for general use, and roles/geminicloudassist.admin for admin-setting changes

Setup steps

  1. Request access through your Google Cloud account manager; the service is currently marked private preview.
  2. Configure Google Cloud remote MCP authentication for the client and enable MCP servers for the project.
  3. Enable the required service APIs and grant only the IAM role needed for the intended use.
  4. Connect to https://geminicloudassist.googleapis.com/mcp.
  5. Use the client tools/list method to retrieve the current tool specifications; names and parameters may change during preview.
