About SAP LeanIX MCP

SAP LeanIX-hosted MCP server for accessing workspace enterprise architecture data through permission-controlled toolsets.

What you can use it for

  • Enterprise architecture inventory
  • Application and technology roadmaps
  • Architecture decision and survey workflows
Connection and setup
Hosting
hosted
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://mcp.leanix.net/services/mcp-server/v1/mcp (OAuth) or https://{SUBDOMAIN}.leanix.net/services/mcp-server/v1/mcp (technical user)
Authentication
OAuth 2.0 user flow or technical-user API token; OAuth session expires after 24 hours.

Requirements

  • SAP LeanIX workspace with MCP enabled by its administrator.
  • User or technical-user permissions for the requested workspace and toolsets.
  • OAuth sessions expire after 24 hours.

Setup steps

  1. For user OAuth, connect to https://mcp.leanix.net/services/mcp-server/v1/mcp and sign in to the workspace in the browser.
  2. Provide the workspace subdomain and name as prompted; both are in https://<subdomain>.leanix.net/<workspace-name>/.
  3. For a technical user, use the documented endpoint https://<subdomain>.leanix.net/services/mcp-server/v1/mcp and configure its API token securely.
  4. Inspect available toolsets and tool list; some toolsets such as discovery_inbox are opt-in via the toolsets query parameter.
Tools 52+

Added 52 exact tool names documented in SAP Learning’s current MCP tool reference. The publisher says the list may change; permissions filter availability, and SAP Help documents named toolsets including optional discovery_inbox. This is a published partial/current reference, not guaranteed complete for every tenant.
