About Raygun MCP

Raygun's hosted MCP server connects AI clients to Crash Reporting, Real User Monitoring, APM, deployments, customers/sessions, page metrics, and team invitations.

What you can use it for

  • Investigate crash/error groups and stack traces
  • Correlate errors with deployments
  • Analyze slow traces, methods, database queries, and external calls
  • Inspect customer sessions and page performance trends
  • Manage team invitations and selected monitoring resources
Connection and setup
Hosting
Remote, hosted by Raygun
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://api.raygun.com/v3/mcp
Authentication
OAuth is recommended with browser sign-in and plan selection. A Personal Access Token is also supported for clients without OAuth; PAT must have scopes for the desired tools. OAuth connection is bound to one Raygun plan.

Requirements

  • Raygun account with access to an active plan
  • MCP client supporting remote Streamable HTTP; OAuth preferred
  • For PAT mode, create a PAT with least required scopes

Setup steps

  1. Add https://api.raygun.com/v3/mcp as a remote Streamable HTTP server without an Authorization header for OAuth.
  2. Start client authentication, sign in to Raygun, select the plan, review requested permissions, and authorize.
  3. For a client without OAuth, create a Raygun Personal Access Token and configure it as an Authorization: Bearer credential through the client's secret storage.
  4. Reload the client and verify with a read-only application/error search. Review every mutation before calling tools that change error status, deployments, invitations, comments, or ingestion keys.
Tools 34

34 tools are enumerated by the current maintainer TOOLS.md and match the catalog. Live tools/list requires authentication and returned HTTP 401 without credentials; per-tool availability depends on granted scopes.

Limitations and notes
  • An active Raygun plan is required.
  • OAuth grants access to one selected plan per connection.
  • Write tools can change monitoring data or rotate credentials; an application key rotation invalidates the previous key.
  • Tool results can include diagnostic/customer data processed by the connected AI provider.
Original sources
  • official documentation

The current Raygun documentation points to a maintained complete tool reference, which enumerates the same 34 tools as the stored catalog. A direct unauthenticated tools/list request returned HTTP 401, so the roster is documentation-verified rather than live-runtime verified; actual tools are OAuth/PAT and scope gated.
