OAuth 2.1; access follows Miro board permissions.

Requirements

• Miro account and an MCP client supporting remote OAuth 2.1
• On Enterprise, an administrator must enable MCP for the organization and selected team(s)
• Access to the target board in the selected team

Setup steps

1. Add https://mcp.miro.com/ in a supported client or install Miro's client connector/plugin.
2. Complete OAuth and select the team containing the desired boards. A user connection is team-specific; authorizing another team supersedes the previous active team context.
3. On Enterprise, ask an admin to enable MCP in Admin settings ? Apps & Integrations ? MCP and allow the team.
4. Verify using a read-only request on a board URL the user can access. Reconnect after tool updates if tools appear duplicated or stale.

The current official reference lists 52 named tools. Canvas content types can evolve; canvas_get_canvas_composer_skill returns the authoritative authoring specification for the connected server.
