About Microsoft Teams via Composio Connect

Composio Connect provides Microsoft Teams actions through its hosted tool-router MCP. This is not a Microsoft-operated standalone MCP server.

What you can use it for

  • Teams message and channel retrieval
  • meeting and team operations
  • Microsoft 365 workflow actions
Connection and setup
Hosting
Vendor-hosted remote MCP service
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://connect.composio.dev/mcp
Authentication
Composio-managed OAuth is available for Microsoft Teams; some permissions may require customer Entra consent or custom credentials.

Requirements

  • Composio account and its MCP Connect flow.
  • Microsoft Teams/Microsoft 365 account and the permissions required by selected actions.

Setup steps

  1. Add https://connect.composio.dev/mcp and complete Composio authentication.
  2. Discover the Microsoft Teams toolkit/actions using the Composio tool-router flow, then authorize the Microsoft account.
  3. Check the actual discovered tools and required scopes; some Teams actions need Microsoft admin consent. Do not send messages, edit teams or delete data without explicit approval.

Current Composio toolkit documentation reports 199 versioned actions. This count is for the toolkit catalog, not an account-specific live MCP tools/list.

    07

This server’s available tools can vary by account, permissions, or configuration. The list shown is not its full runtime catalog.

Limitations and notes
  • Platform-mediated by Composio, not a standalone Microsoft server.
  • Scopes/admin consent and actual tool access depend on tenant policy.
  • Toolkit includes write and delete actions.
