About McDonald's China MCP

McDonald's China's hosted MCP service provides tools for menu and nutrition lookup, delivery and pickup ordering, account coupons and points, campaign calendars, mall redemption, and themed-event reservations. Service availability is limited to mainland China.

What you can use it for

  • Check calories and nutrition for McDonald's menu items.
  • Find nearby or delivery-capable stores and review current menus, coupons and prices.
  • Review order history, track orders, and create or cancel an order when explicitly requested.
  • Review points, coupons, redemption products and themed-event availability.
Connection and setup
Hosting
remote, vendor-hosted
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://mcp.mcd.cn
Authentication
McDonald’s China MCP Token in the Authorization header; the official guide lists 401 for invalid/expired/missing token and 429 above 600 requests/minute.

Requirements

  • Service intended for mainland China; Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are excluded.
  • An account capable of mobile-number verification on the McDonald's China MCP platform.
  • Activate the MCP Token in the platform console and accept the service agreement.
  • An MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and custom Authorization headers.

Setup steps

  1. Open https://open.mcd.cn/mcp and sign in using a mobile number.
  2. Open Console, select Activate, accept the service agreement, and copy the issued MCP Token.
  3. In an MCP client that supports remote Streamable HTTP with headers, add https://mcp.mcd.cn and set Authorization to Bearer <MCD_MCP_TOKEN>. Keep the token in the client's secret storage; do not paste it into a shared prompt or commit it.
  4. Enable or save the server, then confirm the client reports it connected.
  5. Begin with a harmless read-only call such as list-nutrition-foods or query-nearby-stores. Ordering, cancellation, coupon claims, points draws and redemption tools can change account state or create transactions; use only after explicit user confirmation.
  6. A 401 indicates a missing, invalid or expired token. A 429 indicates the documented limit of 600 requests per minute per token has been exceeded.

Limitations and notes
  • The integration is for McDonald’s China services and requires an issued MCP token.
  • Several tools create/cancel orders, claim coupons, consume points/chances, redeem items, or book events and can have real account or payment effects.
Source discrepancies
  • The discovery listing attributed the publisher as ?open?; the official platform and M-China repository establish McDonald's China/M-China as the publisher.
  • The README calls the service 1.0.9 in its dated version history; this is recorded as the documented service/tool version, not a package release.
  • Tool descriptions support conservative side-effect categories, but the source does not publish formal risk classifications or schemas.
Original sources
