About HeyGen Remote MCP

HeyGen's remote MCP connects AI clients to HeyGen account capabilities such as avatar discovery and creation, voice, and video generation through the user's existing account plan.

What you can use it for

  • Discover account avatars, looks, and voices.
  • Generate presenter videos or avatar assets through HeyGen tools.
  • Create or manage supported video, voice, and translation workflows using the account's exposed tools.

Authentication
OAuth browser sign-in; uses the user's existing HeyGen plan credits and does not require an API key for MCP mode.

Requirements

  • A HeyGen account and an AI client supporting remote Streamable HTTP MCP and OAuth.
  • Plan credits or entitlements for requested generation actions.

Setup steps

  1. Add https://mcp.heygen.com/mcp/v1/ as a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server in the client.
  2. Start the first connection and complete HeyGen OAuth in the browser.
  3. Confirm the client exposes HeyGen MCP tools, then inspect available capabilities before creating or generating content.
  4. Verify with a read-only avatar or voice discovery action when available; generation consumes account credits and should only happen when requested.
