About Freshdesk via Composio

Documented Freshdesk API actions are available through Composio’s toolkit and remote MCP connection.

What you can use it for

  • Freshdesk account data and workflows
Connection and setup
Hosting
Composio-hosted remote MCP; vendor API accessed through third-party toolkit
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://connect.composio.dev/mcp
Authentication
API key; follow the Composio connection form and use the Freshdesk domain and key it requests.

Requirements

  • Freshdesk account and permissions for intended operations.
  • Provider API key or OAuth credentials as specified by Composio’s Freshdesk toolkit page.
  • Composio account and an MCP client supporting Streamable HTTP.
  • Freshdesk agent must be verified; API actions follow that agent role’s permissions.

Setup steps

  1. Add the Composio Connect URL as a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server.
  2. Select/enable the documented toolkit and initiate its account connection from the Composio connection flow.
  3. Freshdesk credentials are entered in Composio’s secure connection form.
  4. Complete provider authentication in the secure connection flow; do not place secrets in the catalog configuration.
  5. Inspect tools/list after connection. Confirm before sending messages, changing records, deleting data, or triggering external workflows.
  6. In Freshdesk, click the profile picture → Profile Settings → View API key; complete captcha/agent verification and enter the key only in Composio’s secure connection flow. Resetting the key disconnects other integrations that use it.

    04

This server’s available tools can vary by account, permissions, or configuration. The list shown is not its full runtime catalog.

Limitations and notes
  • Third-party platform-mediated connection, not a standalone or vendor-hosted product MCP.
  • Tool availability and permissions depend on provider account, credentials, plans, and Composio toolkit version.
  • Connection and functionality were not tested in this research pass.
  • Only four representative actions are stored here although the current Composio toolkit has 178; individual tool schemas are versioned and served by Composio.
Original sources
  • third party toolkit reference

Composio documents 178 Freshdesk actions and the required authentication type.

  • third party platform setup

Composio documents the consumer remote MCP endpoint and account connection flow.

  • company logo served by linked toolkit directory

Visual review identifies the shared Freshworks developer/company mark used across its Freshdesk and Freshservice products; treated as company-level branding, not as an official publisher claim. Product-specific visual identity was not established.

  • official vendor credential guidance

Freshdesk documents the profile path, captcha/verification, and role-based permissions for API actions.

  • composio toolkit reference

Current Composio toolkit page reports 178 Freshdesk tools (latest toolkit version 20260828_00); catalog rows retain representative tool names only.
