About Eyevinn Open Source Cloud MCP

Eyevinn OSC provides a hosted MCP server for deploying and managing 196+ open-source cloud services, custom applications, object storage, and tenant resources. Tool surface varies by category, mode, and account. The formerly published local package is deprecated.

What you can use it for

  • List tenant services and apps
  • Provision databases, storage, applications, and solution templates
  • Manage service instances and backups
  • Inspect endpoints and tenant-scoped service state
  • Ask OSC Architect for infrastructure guidance
Connection and setup
Hosting
Remote, hosted by Eyevinn OSC
Transport
Streamable HTTP (hosted)
Endpoint
https://mcp.osaas.io/mcp
Authentication
Hosted OAuth for supported clients or Bearer personal access token from OSC account settings. Tool actions are scoped to the authenticated tenant/workspace.

Requirements

  • Eyevinn OSC account
  • MCP-compatible client supporting Streamable HTTP
  • Browser for OAuth or personal access token for other clients

Setup steps

  1. Create or sign in to an Eyevinn OSC account and add https://mcp.osaas.io/mcp as a remote Streamable HTTP server.
  2. Use OAuth in supported clients or a securely stored OSC personal access token as a Bearer token.
  3. Use the capability discovery tool to inspect categories available to the connected tenant; account-specific operations may create, modify or delete real infrastructure and consume tokens.
Tools 21+

21 named tools observed in publisher docs and the existing catalog; the default surface is curated and dynamically filterable. The complete account-specific tools/list is behind OAuth/PAT. Alternate read-only and operator modes expose different inventories; operator mode documents osc_search_tools, osc_call_tool and ask-osc-architect. The old local repository is deprecated.

This server’s available tools can vary by account, permissions, or configuration. The list shown is not its full runtime catalog.

Limitations and notes
  • The former `EyevinnOSC/mcp-server` local server is archived and explicitly deprecated; its functionality moved to the hosted connector.
  • The hosted MCP can provision and change real infrastructure, and may consume platform tokens/paid service resources. Review every write/delete/deploy action.
  • Only representative exact tool names appear on the publisher MCP page; full catalog is linked separately and changes with OSC services.
  • Authentication flow differs by client; some clients require a PAT rather than OAuth.
Source discrepancies
  • Legacy local npm package and current hosted connector are different implementation deployments; this record represents the current hosted server and notes the deprecated local predecessor.
Original sources
  • official documentation

Current OSC docs describe the hosted endpoint, OAuth/PAT authentication, 196+ open-source services, category-filtered and read-only/operator modes, and tenant-scoped infrastructure management. The formerly published local mcp-server repository is deprecated. Added additional tool identifiers named in current publisher docs, but OSC explicitly provides a curated default set with capabilities and tools varying by category and account; list remains partial_dynamic. Listing tools does not execute operations.
