About Dodo Payments MCP

Dodo Payments provides a hosted API MCP for payment operations with browser OAuth and a separate no-auth documentation search MCP.

Authentication
API server uses browser OAuth; knowledge server requires no credentials. Local API MCP alternative can use API key and webhook key.

Requirements

  • Dodo Payments account for API operations
  • MCP-compatible client; remote clients may use mcp-remote bridge per docs

Setup steps

  1. Add dodo-knowledge remote endpoint https://knowledge.dodopayments.com/mcp.
  2. Add API endpoint https://mcp.dodopayments.com/mcp; authenticate through browser when first API operation is called.
  3. For Codex install official plugin marketplace as documented, then run `codex mcp login dodopayments-api` if needed.

The current Dodo Payments Code Mode server exposes two MCP tools: execute and search_docs. The separately named Dodo Knowledge MCP is a distinct server and is not merged into this record.

Limitations and notes
  • API operations may create or modify payment/customer data.
  • MCP server free access not equivalent to free underlying Dodo Payments service.
