About DocuSign MCP

DocuSign’s MCP integration for working with eSignature workflows. Official developer documentation reviewed describes a demo/custom connector endpoint; production connector availability is through DocuSign’s supported integrations.

What you can use it for

  • Explore DocuSign agreement data and templates.
  • Create/manage envelopes and automate agreement workflows where authorized.
Connection and setup
Hosting
Vendor-hosted remote MCP; production connection is through supported client integration; developer docs also describe a demo endpoint.
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
Local process; no hosted endpoint documented
Authentication
OAuth 2.0 through DocuSign app/integration key authorization.

Requirements

  • DocuSign account and permissions for the selected workspace.
  • For the documented developer/demo connector: create an app and integration key in Apps and Keys, configure a secret and the MCP client callback URI.

Setup steps

  1. For production, select DocuSign’s official integration in the supported client’s connector directory and follow its OAuth flow.
  2. For developer/demo testing only, consult the official developer setup guide; it documents https://mcp-d.docusign.com/mcp and requires an integration key and callback configuration.
  3. Review available envelope actions and account permissions before use; sending or changing envelopes requires explicit confirmation.
Tools 3+

Three exact example IDs appear in the official developer guide. They are examples, not a complete stable roster; the published production connector is client-integrated and scope/permission dependent.

  • list_envelopes

Example tool shown in the official DocuSign MCP guide for listing envelopes.

    01
  • get_template

Example tool shown in the official DocuSign MCP guide for retrieving a template.

    02
  • create_envelope

Example tool shown in the official DocuSign MCP guide for creating an envelope.

    03

This server’s available tools can vary by account, permissions, or configuration. The list shown is not its full runtime catalog.

Limitations and notes
  • Envelope operations can send or alter legally significant documents.
  • Connection and functionality were not tested in this research pass.
  • Production access should use DocuSign’s supported official client connector. Custom/developer endpoint flows are for sandbox/demo exploration; no global production MCP URL is asserted.
Original sources
  • official vendor product page

  • official documentation

Current DocuSign developer guide shows example environment tool names list_envelopes, get_template and create_envelope. Production users should use DocuSign supported official connectors; custom/developer endpoint instructions are for testing. Exact full roster is account and scopes dependent.
