About Scrapeless MCP Server (Google Search capability)

Scrapeless MCP connects AI clients to Scrapeless web search, scraping, browser and other data services; Google Search is one capability within its broader multi-product server.

What you can use it for

  • Query Google search results
  • Scrape and extract web pages
  • Use cloud-browser and other Scrapeless products through MCP
Connection and setup
Hosting
Both local and remote hosted
Transport
stdio; Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://api.scrapeless.com/mcp
Authentication
API key via x-api-token header for hosted setup. Local official site currently documents SCRAPELESS_API_KEY; repository README uses SCRAPELESS_KEY, a conflicting variable name requiring confirmation against current package configuration.

Requirements

  • Scrapeless account/API key
  • Node.js/npx for local stdio
  • Usage may incur Scrapeless service charges

Setup steps

  1. Create an API key in Scrapeless dashboard > Settings > API Key Management.
  2. For remote, configure Streamable HTTP https://api.scrapeless.com/mcp with x-api-token header.
  3. For local, use npx -y scrapeless-mcp-server and set the key in the client environment; verify the package's expected environment name because current first-party site and GitHub README disagree.
  4. Start with a search or scrape read operation; check service usage and costs.
