About Raindrop.io MCP

Raindrop.io’s hosted MCP lets AI clients read and manage a user’s bookmark library through remote Streamable HTTP.

What you can use it for

  • Access, search, organize and manage saved bookmarks through a connected AI client.
Connection and setup
Hosting
Remote hosted service
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://api.raindrop.io/rest/v2/ai/mcp
Authentication
OAuth 2.1 or Raindrop REST API Bearer access token.

Requirements

  • Raindrop.io account with Pro subscription (MCP beta access is limited to Pro users).
  • An MCP client that supports remote Streamable HTTP and OAuth 2.1 for interactive login, or the documented Bearer token method.

Setup steps

  1. In a client that supports remote Streamable HTTP, add https://api.raindrop.io/rest/v2/ai/mcp as a remote MCP server.
  2. Choose the OAuth 2.1 sign-in flow when prompted and complete authorization in the browser. The official documentation says a compatible client opens the browser automatically.
  3. If using token authentication instead, create or use a Raindrop API access token and configure it as Authorization: Bearer <token> in the client's protected secret configuration; never paste the token into chat or a command history.
  4. Reload the client and confirm the Raindrop server connects. Its live tool catalog is account- and beta-dependent and is not listed in the reviewed first-party docs; inspect the catalog exposed by the connected server before attempting any action.
Tools 20+

Added the 20 exact tool IDs and descriptions published in Raindrop’s current official Help Center table. The MCP is beta and Pro-gated; the free plan lacks text and semantic search, so actual available tools may be plan-dependent.
