Requirements

  • For the local implementation, Node.js/npm and an MCP-compatible client. Hosted use requires network access.

Setup steps

  1. Hosted: add https://mcp.opentofu.org/mcp as a Streamable HTTP MCP server.
  2. Claude Code example: `claude mcp add opentofu -t streamable-http https://mcp.opentofu.org/mcp`.
  3. Local alternative: configure command `npx` and args `-y`, `@opentofu/opentofu-mcp-server`.
  4. Refresh the client and try a read-only registry search.
