About HTML/CSS to Image MCP

A hosted service for rendering HTML/CSS, capturing public webpages, generating template images/PDFs, and managing HCTI templates and organization resources.

What you can use it for

  • Render HTML or capture webpages as images/PDFs.
  • Render saved templates and create batches.
  • Manage persistent Open Graph configurations, proxies, or storage destinations when explicitly authorized.
Connection and setup
Hosting
Remote, vendor-hosted
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://mcp.hcti.io
Authentication
Browser-based OAuth; no API key or access token stored in client config. Requires HCTI account and available credits for rendering.

Requirements

  • HCTI account
  • MCP client supporting remote Streamable HTTP and OAuth
  • Available account credits for rendering

Setup steps

  1. Add https://mcp.hcti.io as remote Streamable HTTP MCP.
  2. Connect the hcti server and complete HCTI OAuth authorization in browser.
  3. Use create_image or create_url_image for render workflows; use read-only list/check tools for initial verification.
  4. Treat organization-management tools as state-changing; ask before creating/updating/deleting configs, proxies, or storage destinations.
Tools 27

Official docs enumerate 27 tools across account usage, image rendering, feedback, templates, Open Graph, proxy, and storage destination management. Actual availability depends on OAuth scopes and plan. Render calls consume organization image credits; management writes modify resources.

Limitations and notes
  • Hosted service processes supplied HTML/CSS, URLs, and configuration; avoid sending private URLs, cookies, or secrets.
  • Requires HCTI account and credits for rendering.
  • Tool availability is permission-dependent.
  • Some marketplace install paths are pending publication per README.
Source discrepancies
  • Older HCTI packages/API snippets describe API key authentication; current hosted MCP plugin docs specify OAuth and no API key in MCP config. This record covers the hosted MCP implementation only.
Original sources
  • official repository

Current README documents endpoint, OAuth, client setup, 26 exact tools, permission dependence, data handling, service-credit requirement, and MIT license.

  • official remote endpoint

Hosted MCP endpoint explicitly identified in official repository.

  • publisher site

    Official HCTI brand/service site.

  • official tool reference

Current official tool reference describes tool arguments, permissions, pagination, and management rate limits; main MCP page documents submit_feedback and rendering credit use.
