A remote SEC research MCP server for looking up public companies, searching SEC filings, retrieving filing details, and reviewing insider transactions. Data is linked to SEC filing sources.

Requirements

  • Earnings Feed account
  • MCP-compatible client with Streamable HTTP support
  • ChatGPT MCP connector requires Business, Enterprise, or Edu according to vendor client setup docs

Setup steps

  1. Add https://earningsfeed.com/api/mcp as a remote HTTP MCP server.
  2. Authorize through the browser OAuth flow using an Earnings Feed account.
  3. For Claude Code run `claude mcp add --transport http earningsfeed https://earningsfeed.com/api/mcp`.
  4. For Claude Desktop use Settings ? Connectors ? Add custom connector and paste the endpoint.
  5. For Cursor configure the endpoint URL in project `.cursor/mcp.json` under `mcpServers.earningsfeed`.
  6. For ChatGPT, enable Developer mode in Advanced Settings and create an app using the endpoint; vendor says this requires Business, Enterprise, or Edu.
  7. Verify with read-only company lookup or recent filing search.

The current official reference documents these five tools and their input fields. Hosted endpoint uses OAuth 2.0 through Clerk. Free plan currently allows 15 requests/minute and 5,000/month; monthly allowances are hard caps.

  • get_company

    Get SEC company information by ticker symbol or CIK number.

    Get recent SEC filings, optionally filtered by company, CIK, or form type; supports pagination.

    Get detailed information about one SEC filing by accession number.

Limitations and notes
  • Free plan: 15 requests/minute and 5,000 per month; Pro and Trader limits/pricing are account plan dependent. Monthly allowances are hard caps.
