Authentication
Crawleo API key. Hosted endpoint uses `Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>`; local process uses `CRAWLEO_API_KEY`.

Requirements

  • Crawleo account and API key from crawleo.dev
  • Node.js/npm for npx installation; Docker is an alternative
  • Available account credits for queries

Setup steps

  1. Create/sign in to Crawleo and obtain an API key from the dashboard.
  2. Hosted: add HTTP MCP URL https://api.crawleo.dev/mcp and set `Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>` using secure client header storage.
  3. Local: configure command `npx`, args [`-y`, `crawleo-mcp`] and env `CRAWLEO_API_KEY=<API_KEY>`.
  4. Reload the client and verify with a harmless search for public documentation.

The publisher’s current MCP integration page confirms the hosted endpoint and local npx package. The publisher repository documents two exact tools, web.search and web.crawl; no dynamic/aggregated Crawlio product docs were merged into this separate Crawleo record.

Limitations and notes
