About Coda / Superhuman Docs MCP

Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda) hosted MCP lets authorized AI clients read and write docs, pages, tables, views, formulas, controls, charts and comments.

What you can use it for

  • Create, search and manage docs, pages, tables, rows, columns and views.
  • Write formulas, create charts and controls, and resolve comment threads.
Connection and setup
Hosting

Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://coda.io/apis/mcp
Authentication
Coda MCP-scoped personal access token; supported clients may offer other approved auth flows.

Requirements

  • Coda/Superhuman Docs account and access to target workspace content.
  • Remote MCP-capable client with OAuth 2 PKCE or secure PAT configuration.
  • Free-plan limits apply; the provider documents a limited free taste for eligible users, while paid Doc Makers have full MCP experience.

Setup steps

  1. Use the current official endpoint https://docs.superhuman.com/apis/mcp.
  2. Where supported, configure OAuth 2 with PKCE and choose the workspace/folder reach during authorization.
  3. For a client that requires a token, open the account API settings, generate a token restricted to MCP, choose read-only or the minimum needed scope, and provide it through the client's secure secret mechanism.
  4. Verify by listing or searching a document; review write/delete permissions before enabling mutating actions.
Tools 39

39 tool identifiers and descriptions transcribed from Superhuman’s current official Tools and endpoints reference via Crawl4AI. The publisher explicitly warns that names and parameters may change while the MCP is in beta; treat this as a dated published roster, not a permanent contract.

Limitations and notes
  • MCP is beta; available tools depend on account role/plan. Free access is rate-limited.
Source discrepancies
  • Coda's original setup article uses https://coda.io/apis/mcp, while current security guidance identifies https://docs.superhuman.com/apis/mcp as the official canonical endpoint and says the former endpoint remains supported but will be deprecated. The current canonical endpoint is saved.
Original sources
  • official setup documentation

Documents supported clients and auth methods, endpoint, OAuth/PAT setup, and account/plan details.

  • official security and endpoint documentation

Identifies the new Superhuman Docs endpoint as canonical, confirms the prior Coda endpoint remains supported but is slated for deprecation, and documents OAuth/PAT scope and data access.

  • official publisher avatar

Coda GitHub organization avatar downloaded, decoded, and visually reviewed as the product's former official brand mark; used fallback tier D for the legacy Coda integration.

  • official documentation

Official Coda/Superhuman Help Center documents beta MCP read/write doc workflows and explicitly says tool names/parameters are not fixed and may change; detailed list is external and dynamic.

  • official live tool reference

Publisher reference lists 39 current tool IDs and says names/parameters are subject to change during beta.
