About AiNecto MCP

Remote MCP integration for AiNecto workspaces and documents, including ERD schemas, diagrams, Markdown, OpenAPI specs, project organization, sharing, and version history.

What you can use it for

  • Inspect live ERD tables, columns, indexes, relationships, enums, and table groups.
  • Create and edit ERD schemas, diagrams, Markdown and OpenAPI documents.
  • Search documents, inspect versions, and create snapshots for changes.
  • Manage workspaces, projects, folders, sharing, and attachments.
Connection and setup
Hosting
remote
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://ainecto.com/mcp
Authentication
Remote MCP uses the connected user’s existing AiNecto workspace/project permissions; client authentication and sharing are administered through the AiNecto account.

Requirements

  • An AiNecto account with a paid Pro or Enterprise plan; current plan documentation says Free cannot connect AI clients through MCP.
  • An MCP-compatible client with remote Streamable HTTP support.
  • Browser sign-in and consent on first connection.

Setup steps

  1. Add the remote endpoint https://ainecto.com/mcp in the client. For Codex, run: codex mcp add ainecto --url https://ainecto.com/mcp.
  2. Restart/reload the client if required by its setup flow.
  3. On the first tool call, sign in to AiNecto in the browser and approve access.
  4. Verify with a harmless read action such as listing documents.
Tools 60

Current official reference defines 60 tools: generic backbone 38, ERD 10, diagram 10, markdown 2. Groups open gradually; the vendor explicitly states each connection’s tools/list is the authoritative exact set and schemas, so the 60-tool published catalog is not a promise every session sees every tool. Current remote URL https://ainecto.com/mcp; public tools/list probe returned 403 without an authenticated session.

Limitations and notes
  • Tools are dynamic/gradually opened; verify the authenticated tools/list for actual per-session availability.
  • Document/workspace tools include create/update/delete, sharing, attachment upload, and batch ERD/diagram changes.
Source discrepancies
  • Queue source name AI-ERD is a former product name; current official documentation brands the product AiNecto. The stable queue slug is retained for continuity.
  • The overview's Free-plan statement agrees with current first-party plan docs. A separate search-result excerpt suggested Free MCP access, conflicting with those current official plan pages; this remains recorded as a discrepancy pending confirmation.
  • No first-party canonical product repository was identified in the current docs reviewed; repository_url remains null.
Original sources
  • official overview auth endpoint

Current first-party overview identifies AiNecto, Streamable HTTP endpoint, OAuth 2.0 PKCE, account permission behavior, supported clients, and MCP capabilities.

  • official tool reference dynamic availability

Current official reference states 60 defined tools in four groups and expressly says groups open gradually; per-connection tools/list is the machine-readable source of truth.

  • official client setup

Documents Codex command, remote endpoint configuration, restart, and OAuth approval flow.

  • official plan limits

Current plan comparison states MCP integration is unavailable on Free and available on Pro and Enterprise.

  • official cli and package

Documents current ainecto CLI, Node.js 18+ requirement, npx setup, package naming transition, and older ai-erd aliases.
