Authentication
No authentication was required for the initialize and tools/list requests verified on 2026-10-14. Broader authentication policy is undocumented.

Requirements

  • MCP client supporting Streamable HTTP. No account or credential was needed for the verified read-only discovery.

Setup steps

  1. Configure a remote MCP server with URL https://www.1stdibs.com/soa/mcp/ using Streamable HTTP. Clients that only support local stdio need a bridge such as mcp-remote; this bridge setup is not documented by 1stDibs. Reload and confirm the four read-only tools appear.
Tools 4

Current runtime tools/list snapshot on 2026-10-14 returned these four read-only tools and schemas without authentication. Official documentation page could not be re-read in this source check; runtime evidence remains the basis for the inventory.

Limitations and notes
  • Live tools and schemas are based on the check date and may change.
  • Only public marketplace browsing and item details were exposed; no purchase/account tools were present.
  • No official client-specific guide or troubleshooting page found.
Original sources
  • live primary mcp endpoint

Existing recorded tools/list snapshot returned four tools; current official page was not retrievable during this check, so last live snapshot retained without asserting a fresh verification.

Documentation checked 2026-10-28. Connection has not been runtime tested.
