About Wishfinity +W MCP

Creates a Wishfinity Add link for a product URL. The user opens the link in a browser and confirms the save; the MCP does not save items directly or expose wishlist-reading APIs.

What you can use it for

  • Save a product recommendation for later by opening its Wishfinity Add link.
  • Create a gift or wishlist item from a product page URL.
Connection and setup
Hosting
both
Transport
stdio
Endpoint
https://wishfinity-mcp-plusw.wishfinity.workers.dev/mcp
Authentication
No MCP API key or OAuth flow; the user authenticates on Wishfinity after opening the returned action URL.

Requirements

  • A Wishfinity account is needed to save the product; sign-in/registration occurs in browser after opening the Add link.
  • Local setup requires Node.js and npm/npx (minimum runtime version not documented in README).

Setup steps

  1. Choose local stdio or the hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint.
  2. For local clients, add command npx with args ["wishfinity-mcp-plusw"]. For remote clients, connect to https://wishfinity-mcp-plusw.wishfinity.workers.dev/mcp using Streamable HTTP.
  3. When the assistant calls add_to_wishlist, open the returned action_url yourself. Sign in or register on Wishfinity if prompted, then confirm the saved wish in the browser.
  4. No direct/server-side save or wishlist read/list capability is documented.
Tools 1

The single tool generates a Wishfinity wishlist action link. No API key is required; authentication occurs when the user opens the returned link. The repository also documents stdio and remote Streamable HTTP transports.

  • add_to_wishlist

Accept a product page URL and return an action_url, requires_user_action (always true), and display_text. The user opens the link and completes the wishlist action in a browser.

    Parameters: url (required, string)
    01
Limitations and notes
  • The returned action link does not add an item by itself; the user must open it and complete the browser action.
Source discrepancies
  • README says ChatGPT Desktop setup ?when MCP support is available?; compatibility is conditional and not asserted as universally available.
