About Tencent EdgeOne Pages Deploy MCP

Tencent EdgeOne's Pages Deploy MCP lets an AI client publish static HTML or project assets to EdgeOne Pages and return a public preview URL.

Authentication
The hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint is documented without authentication in the setup sample and only supports single HTML deployment. Local stdio uses EDGEONE_PAGES_API_TOKEN; token is optional for one-file temporary HTML links but required to deploy folders/ZIPs or associate them with a project.

Requirements

  • Tencent EdgeOne Pages account for persistent project deployments
  • Node.js/npx for the documented local stdio package
  • EDGEONE_PAGES_API_TOKEN for folder/ZIP deployment and project management
  • Compatible MCP client

Setup steps

  1. For local use, configure npx edgeone-pages-mcp as a stdio server.
  2. Set EDGEONE_PAGES_API_TOKEN in the server environment when deploying folders or ZIPs; optionally set EDGEONE_PAGES_PROJECT_NAME to select an existing project.
  3. For the remote endpoint, configure https://mcp-on-edge.edgeone.app/mcp-server using Streamable HTTP; remote mode is limited to single HTML deployment.
  4. Deploying a single HTML document creates a temporary link; to associate content with a Pages project, explicitly deploy a folder or ZIP using local mode and a token.
  5. Restart/reload the client if deploy_html is missing from its discovered tool list.

Official troubleshooting names deploy_html for hosted HTML publishing. Vendor docs describe local full-stack/folder/ZIP deployment too, but do not publish all tool identifiers; hosted and local deployment modes differ.

Limitations and notes
  • Remote Streamable HTTP currently does not support folder or ZIP deployment; use the local stdio implementation for those.
  • Single-file HTML deployment produces a temporary URL and is not automatically attached to a Pages project.
  • Folder/ZIP deployment requires an API token.
  • AI deployment publishes content publicly; review output and target project before invoking.
  • If the client says deploy_html is not found, EdgeOne troubleshooting recommends restarting the editor/client.
