About Tally MCP

Tally’s hosted MCP lets connected assistants create and edit forms, browse and organize workspaces, and retrieve submissions for analysis.

What you can use it for

  • Create forms from natural-language descriptions and edit fields or settings.
  • List, search, and organize forms.
  • Fetch submissions for analysis and visualization.
Connection and setup
Hosting
Remote, hosted by Tally
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://api.tally.so/mcp
Authentication
OAuth recommended; API-key authentication is also documented.

Requirements

  • Tally account and access to the intended workspace
  • MCP client that supports remote MCP servers and OAuth, or an API-key authentication mechanism

Setup steps

  1. Add https://api.tally.so/mcp as a remote MCP server in a compatible client.
  2. Start the OAuth connection flow, sign in to Tally, and authorize the workspace; alternatively configure a Tally API key as a Bearer credential in the client's secure settings.
  3. Reload the client if needed and verify by listing forms or asking for a read-only summary of a selected form. Review any create/edit action before allowing it.

This server’s available tools can vary by account, permissions, or configuration. The list shown is not its full runtime catalog.

Limitations and notes
  • MCP is available on all plans, including Free. The assistant cannot delete forms or individual submissions; respondent data is fetched only when requested.
Original sources
  • official publisher documentation

Publisher or maintainer documentation reviewed 2026-10-28T19:30:00.000Z; capability and connection information recorded, with exact protocol tool identifiers added only when the source publishes them.

  • official developer reference

Reviewed via Crawl4AI; describes MCP list forms by capability but omits exact protocol identifier.

  • third party directory publisher reported tool list

Agentman reports 26 exact tool names from Anthropic’s connector directory, and notes the endpoint is OAuth-gated so tool descriptions and schemas could not be read. Names are publisher-reported, not independently live-enumerated. Official Tally documentation corroborates the server capabilities (form creation/editing and submission retrieval).
