About HubSpot MCP Server (Remote CRM)

HubSpot's remote CRM MCP server lets authorized AI clients read and write supported HubSpot CRM records and activities under the connected user's permissions.

What you can use it for

  • Read supported CRM records and activities
  • Create or update supported CRM records and activities
  • Analyze CRM state using natural language
Connection and setup
Hosting
Remote, cloud-hosted
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://mcp.hubspot.com/
Authentication
OAuth with PKCE via a HubSpot MCP Auth App. Users authorize during client connection; scopes are determined by installed tools and user-granted permissions.

Requirements

  • HubSpot account with permission to create MCP Auth Apps
  • OAuth client must support PKCE
  • Sensitive Data-enabled accounts cannot access activity objects through this MCP server

Setup steps

  1. In HubSpot, open Development > MCP Auth Apps and create an app with name and client redirect URI.
  2. Configure the remote server at https://mcp.hubspot.com/ with the generated OAuth client credentials in an OAuth/PKCE-capable client.
  3. Complete guided browser authorization and grant requested access. Reinstall if tool-scope changes require new grants.
  4. Verify with get_user_details and use read-only CRM queries first.
Tools 1+

Official setup docs identify get_user_details in their Inspector verification flow. They describe scope- and permission-dependent CRM access but do not publish a complete fixed tool-name reference; retain one verified example as a partial dynamic list. Remote CRM MCP is distinct from the developer MCP.

  • get_user_details

Official docs use this tool to verify authenticated user and account details.

Limitations and notes
  • Sensitive Data-enabled accounts block activity object access via this MCP server.
  • Tools and scopes evolve; existing users may need to reinstall to grant updated permissions.
  • The remote CRM server is separate from HubSpot Developer MCP Server for building apps/content; not merged.
