About Higgsfield MCP

Higgsfield hosted MCP connects an AI client to its media-generation platform and user asset library.

What you can use it for

  • Generate and edit images and videos, upscale, expand, and remove backgrounds.
  • Use motion control, characters, elements, audio/voiceover/dubbing, and manage generated assets.
Connection and setup
Hosting
hosted
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint
https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp
Authentication
OAuth browser authorization with an active Higgsfield subscription.

Requirements

  • Active Higgsfield paid subscription
  • MCP client supporting remote Streamable HTTP and OAuth

Setup steps

  1. In Codex CLI, add the remote server with: codex mcp add higgsfield --url https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp.
  2. Complete the Higgsfield OAuth sign-in and authorization flow in the browser; use the Higgsfield account whose credits should be used.
  3. Verify the configured server with codex mcp list or /mcp. For a non-generative check, ask for the Higgsfield credit balance or recent generations; use the tools and parameters exposed by the live connection.
  4. Before any image, video, audio, upscale, or other generation, obtain explicit user confirmation of the credit spend. MCP usage deducts credits at standard rates even if the web plan includes unlimited or free generations.
Tools 11+

Eleven exact names are transcribed from a third-party reference; the official repository issue independently confirms live generate_image and generate_video names (and reports models_explore and balance). Publisher docs confirm current MCP functionality but do not enumerate the full tool list. Treat these names as a partial inventory; current roster may differ.

This server’s available tools can vary by account, permissions, or configuration. The list shown is not its full runtime catalog.

Limitations and notes
  • MCP generations spend account credits; generated results are saved to Assets. Exact tools/list is not publicly documented.
Original sources
  • official mcp and billing faq

Higgsfield identifies the official MCP URL, says OAuth is used without an API key, distinguishes the MCP from its API product, and explains that each MCP generation consumes standard account credits.

  • official identity verification

Higgsfield identifies higgsfield.ai/mcp and mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp as its official MCP surface and connector URL.

  • official product page and logo source page

Official product page identifies Higgsfield MCP and links the official service; its site icon was downloaded and visually checked as the recognizable Higgsfield mark (official brand asset tier A).

  • official product logo asset

HTTP 200 PNG from Higgsfield's own domain; decoded and visually inspected. Square icon shows the Higgsfield black symbol on its lime brand background.

  • official codex client setup

Codex MCP documentation confirms remote Streamable HTTP server support, codex mcp add --url syntax, OAuth login via codex mcp login, and verification with codex mcp list or /mcp. Combined with Higgsfield's statement that any MCP-compatible client may use its official URL.

  • official documentation

Official Higgsfield setup and help-center documentation identify its remote MCP endpoint, OAuth and subscription requirement, credit-consuming media generation and supported image/video/asset workflows; no fixed tool roster is published.
