About hell-admin

Hellō’s beta Admin MCP lets an authorized assistant create, read, and update Hellō applications and upload their light and dark logos; it cannot delete applications.

What you can use it for

  • Inspect profile, teams, roles and existing applications.
  • Generate an OAuth client secret or upload light/dark logos, only when explicitly requested.

Authentication
Browser-based OAuth; JWT validation; remote tokens expire after one hour and reauthentication is required after one hour of inactivity.

Requirements

  • Remote HTTP MCP client, or Node.js 18+ for local stdio package
  • Browser for OAuth login

Setup steps

  1. Preferred: add remote endpoint https://admin-mcp.hello.coop/ to an HTTP-capable client.
  2. Complete the browser sign-in/OAuth flow.
  3. Local option: configure npx -y @hellocoop/admin-mcp@latest as stdio; requires Node.js 18+.
  4. Start with hello_manage_app action=read. Ask before create, update, create_secret, or logo-upload actions.

One composite tool exposes six app-management actions. Read is suitable for checking a connection; create/update/logo actions modify account data, and create_secret creates credentials.

  • Except for read, documented actions can modify application configuration or create credentials.
