About Buffer MCP

Buffer’s hosted MCP lets AI clients read channels, posts, drafts, ideas and analytics, and create or edit social posts and templates through OAuth.

What you can use it for

  • Social channel management
  • Post drafting and scheduling
Connection and setup
Hosting
Vendor-hosted remote MCP service
Transport
Streamable HTTP
Endpoint

Authentication
OAuth is recommended; documented API-token authentication is also available.

Requirements

  • Buffer account with the channels and permissions to be managed.
  • MCP client supporting remote Streamable HTTP and OAuth.

Setup steps

  1. Add https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp as a remote Streamable HTTP server.
