Authentication

Local config; automation requires provider credentials stored in .env and Android device authorized by ADB.

Requirements

• Python 3.12+ and uv
• Authorized Android device/emulator via ADB
• Provider credential in local .env

Setup steps

1. Clone official repository and follow OS quick start.
2. Connect and authorize Android device; check adb devices.
3. Set model credential in .env from .env.example.
4. Run uv run artemis mcp --install <client> or generate config with uv run artemis mcp --generate-config <client>.
5. Reload client; call mobile_diagnose before automation.

Google ARTEMIS repository documents five MCP tools. mobile_run_task starts asynchronous automation on an attached Android device; mobile_manage_task can stop or steer work; state/trace tools inspect device activity. Calls can interact with a real connected device, so only run tasks explicitly requested.
